RBH Signature SX-1212/R Reference Subwoofer Preview [0.24] by Andrew Gash,October 31, 2012 09:25
I'm here to make another RBH Sound speaker look small... The RBH Sound Signature SX-1212/R Reference is actually a pretty massive subwoofer that ups the ante on the company's prior reference 1010 model. The new 1212 Series of subs is available in four different models: a passive standard model, an active stand model, and both passive and active reference models. Pricing ranges from $3000 for the passive standard model to $5000 for the active reference Signature Series (SX-1212/R) version. This one here is indeed the SX-1212/R which has two reference grade 12" aluminum drivers on the front and features a down-firing 6" flared port.

Status Acoustics Granite Bookshelf Speakers Preview [0.24] by clint,October 16, 2013 09:15
We got a chance to listen to Status Acoustics' new bookshelf speaker system and they sounded every bit as good as they looked! The cabinets are made out of actual granite (weighing a whopping 53lbs to 70lbs each, depending on finish) and is the most dense, inert speaker enclosure we've ever seen or even heard of. We've seen speakers made form glass, plexi, composite materials and carbon fiber. I've never seen anything like this. Surprisingly, granite, like everything else, actually rings. To kill that and make it completely inert, Status Acoustics used a layer of dampening material, then a layer of aluminum, and then another layer of dampening material. The idea was to make this the most inert box you could get. Of course all top notch Status parts are used throughout including their beryllium midrange and Scan Speak tweeter.
Acoustic Research WHT6024 5.1 Wireless Speaker System Review [0.24] by jclarke,October 23, 2007 10:20
One of the trends I noticed at the recent CEDIA expo in Denver was wireless speaker systems. I saw everything from a portable speaker that you might use out by the pool to systems designed to be used with traditional full-range speakers. Probably the most prevalent use of wireless in speaker systems is for rear surrounds in a 5.1 satellite speaker system. Acoustic Research has released the WHT6024, which falls into this popular category.
Impact Acoustics 6x2 Component Video Matrix Selector (Model# 40697) [0.23] by jclarke,December 26, 2007 19:20
The Impact Acoustics 6x2 Component Video Matrix Selector (Model# 40697) is an incredibly versatile unit that can be used in several different applications. The video switcher looks good, is very easy to set up and operate, and works exactly as it should. If you have high-def displays in both your bedroom and den, for example, you could use the switcher to route different video to both. The kids could be playing with their new Nintendo Wii in the den, and you could send your HD-DVD player video to your bedroom. At $179.99, it is a great deal no matter how simple or complex your setup.

mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower Review [0.23] by clint,December 14, 2007 01:00
It's hard to feel luke-warm about the iPod. You either hate it or love it. The hundreds of iPod-centric devices and gadgets which have hit the market in the past several years since the debut of the device has seen to that. I've seen many iPod speaker systems in my time, but none have had the sheer presence of the mStation. Far from catering to the unimposing and diminished size of the iPod, the 2.1 Stereo Tower presents itself as a domineering system that can still manage to hide itself away in a corner or against a wall without taking up too much space.
Classe CT-2300 Stereo Power Amplifier Review [0.23] by Gene,September 16, 2012 21:00
The Classe CT-2300 300wpc/600wpc (8/4 ohms, respectively) two-channel power amplifier is well engineered from inside and out. Classe’s unique ICTunnel keeps the amplifier running cool under all operating conditions making it an ideal option for rack mounting. Feed this baby the very best speakers you can afford and it will rewarded you with a sonic landscape not achievable by lesser designed amplifiers. From its benchmark test results to its pristine sonic virtues, I found my time with this amplifier to be a pure delight. After two months of dining on the CT-2300, I can say with total confidence that my appetite is fully satisfied. Highly recommended!
