We interview Joe Cornwall, Business Developer of Impact Acoustics, to discuss some of the new RapidRun Digital products. Impact has created a Super Booster wall plate which enables long distance USB connectivity to enable easy transfer of media files from one location to another. New colors are available for RapidRun, including Black (great for dedicated home theaters) and Almond.
Impact Acoustics also showed off a new single-gang wall plate model which includes component video (or composite with L/R audio) and even RS-232. This is possibly the ultimate custom install solution for YPbPr installations that require automation control.
Not content to stop there, Joe showed us a new product that, again in a single-gang wall plate, features s-video connector, component video (or composite with L/R audio), 3.5mm stereo audio and HD15 (VGA). The plate utilizes a unique integrated dual RapidRun cable system (yellow for the computer lines, and Blue for the coax A/V connections). Considering these can handle distances up to 150 feet - RapidRun is truly simplifying the installation business.
