MB Quart Alexxa B-One Bookshelf Speaker Review
[0.25]
by jclarke,May 01, 2008 12:25
- Could the MB Quart Alexxa B-One speakers be manufactured in Hades? I ask this because, as I am sure you know, the devil is in the details and detail is what these speakers are all about. They present a very detailed reproduction of music, and fit and finish is top notch. But fear not, I will not be forced to consider damnation after all, as the Alexxas are not the handiwork of Beelzebub, but rather that of a storied team of engineers in Germany.

V-Moda V-80 True Blood Headphones Review
[0.25]
by Andrew Gash,November 15, 2011 08:15
- Themed products aren't typically my thing, but the new True Blood-branded V-80 headphones from V-Moda just... well, they caught my eye. For starters, they have this brushed metal plate that covers the left and right on-ear headphones - in fact much of the headband itself has steel reinforcements - and you can twist and flex it and it won't break. Also, the way everything is bolted together reminds me of what headphones designed for military spec would look like - well, actually, it turns out these phones are mil spec - something called 810G, which tests against environmental conditions, vibration and impact. These are the first headphones in a long time that at least competed with our reference over-the-ear headphones.

RHA MA350 In-Ear Headphones Review
[0.25]
by tom,November 15, 2012 08:20
- The RHA MA350 headphones have, for me, redefined the $40 price point. With an all aluminum construction, 10mm driver, braided fabric-covered cable, and a compact and light-weight design, RHA thought about everything. While I found them too bass-heavy for my liking, they really don't have any downsides sonically. If you are on the market for a $40 earbud, these should definitely be on your list.

by wayde,February 08, 2017 11:00
- To celebrate its 70th anniversary, JBL has launched a new “platinum” variation of one of their finest wireless headphones made, the JBL Everest Elite 700. Platinum may be nothing more than a fresh coat of paint on a great pair of headphones that has been JBL's flagship in the wireless category for two years. But, what Platinum really gives us is a chance to reflect on the company's storied history, a history that is still being written with the sale of JBL's parent company, Harman to Samsung. Does the Everest Elite 700 still hold its place among the best of the full-sized wireless headphones? We shall see.

Fanny Wang 3000 Series Noise Canceling Headphone Review
[0.25]
by tom,July 13, 2012 07:10
- If you are a frequent traveler, noise canceling headphones are either a thing you own or a thing you covet. Fanny Wang Headphone Co. has recently come on the scene with high end headphones that are targeted at the discerning consumer. The Fanny Wang Series 3000 headphones are a very nice sounding set of cans that feature not only a Pass Through mode for use when the batteries die but also Noise Canceling and Noise Canceling with Bass Boost. Part of that $300 you are spending on them went into the noise canceling but not all of it. While it didn't hold up to dedicated headphones in the same price bracket, it did well against some highly regarded, but cheaper, sets. When you add in that you'd likely be using them in noisy environments, that they are comfortable enough to wear all day, and that they included everything you'll need to enjoy these at home or on the road (including 1/4" and airline adapters), and you can see the value.
