Peerless Industries unveiled several new flat panel mounts for plasmas and LCDs at CEDIA this year. Their new One Mount Flat Panel Modular Mount for flat screens from 23 inches to 84 inches seemed a particularly convenient product.

One Mount Flat Panel Modular Mount
The new One Mount Flat Panel Modular Mount is a single mount that can accommodate screens from 23 inches to 84 inches weighing up to 250 pounds and has been UL-tested. It is comprised of three interlocking wall plates that can be used together or separately, depending on screen size. These plates fit easily into position and can be held together using a minimum of two screws in a two-plate configuration or a maximum of only four screws in a three-plate configuration. Designed to enable quick and easy installation in residential or commercial applications, it comes in a compact package that reduces shelf and storage space for professional installers and retailers.

The one-mount-fits-all solution differs from some competitors adjustable mounts in that the mounting bracket can slide across the entire length of the system. This is accomplished by not having two overlapping pieces of metal aong the top rails. It's a good system - and well thought out in our opinion.

The new Outdoor Flat Panel Environmental Enclosure we saw was quite a development. While a bit bulky, the unit promised a solution for outdoor mounting of plasma or LCD flat panel displays while maintaining a proper environment and temperature.

The new Outdoor Flat Panel Environmental Enclosures are equipped with a dual filter fan system that helps keep the screen operating at the proper working temperature, and can help keep it free of dust and dirt. The optional thermostat-controlled heating and AC cooling units maintain proper screen operating conditions in virtually any climate and available anti-reflective glass provides glare-free viewing. The screen is fully-protected within the enclosure to deter theft, accidental damage or vandalism and eliminates the need for seasonal screen removal, storage space and possible screen damage during the removal process.

The Outdoor Environmental Enclosure is a lockable and secure mounting solution that offers multiple mounting options from wall or ceiling placement to pedestal-set, depending on installation requirements. The front cover is supported by gas struts that enable quick and effortless screen installation and easy maintenance by one person.
