AV123 X-series Speakers

The new X-series speakers are positioned to be the very best value AV123 has to offer. The 'trickle down' of technology has allowed them to offer gorgeous custom cabinets, high quality crossover components and custom drive units in speakers at an incredibly low cost to consumers. The x-ls monitor, x-cs center and x-sls...the first loudspeakers in the x-series by AV123, designed from the ground up by AV123's Mark Schifter and Danny Richie, with one main goal in mind; to be, bar none, "the best loudspeakers ever created for less than $300 per pair".

The x-ls loudspeaker can function as a main speaker in a two-channel system or as mains, center and surrounds in a home theater. The x-ls is designed to have a smooth and detailed top end without being bright or over-bearing.

The x-sls is similar to the x-ls in that they share the same drive units and crossover components however the x-sls is a full tower speaker. This extra cabinet volume allows a lower tuning point for extended bass response over the x-ls. A good portion of the cabinet cavity is designed to be filled with sand or shot to provide exceptional stability.

The x-cs is the 'center speaker' for the x-series lineup, however when oriented vertically, the x-cs can function as a main speaker. With its dual 6.5" woofers, it can keep up with larger rooms and higher SPLs.

All x-series speakers feature a 3/4" braced MDF cabinet wrapped in a real wood veneer or beautifully finished in a silky-smooth satin black . Housed in this cabinet is a custom-built Peerless 6.5" curvilinear shaped treated paper cone woofer (times two for the x-cs). It uses a polymer chassis to prevent transmission of resonances to the front baffle, and the voice coil is vented on the outside through the frame and pole piece. The tweeter is a ferro-fluid cooled 1" treated fabric dome, well damped with three separate layers through a hollow pole piece. The result? All drive units perform exactly to specification throughout their operating band without imparting any coloration of their own to the sound.

x-series subwoofer
> The first subwoofer in the x-series of speakers and electronics; the x-sub is perfect for smaller home theater and music systems. The x-sub boasts strong output into the high 20 Hz region, swift attack and decay times and thanks to its folded, slotted porting, virtually no port distortion.

Several connections options allow the x-sub to seamlessly integrate with almost any system:

• High level (speaker level) inputs and outputs allow you to connect the x-sub to an integrated amp, pre-amp or older receiver that has no dedicated subwoofer output.
• A stereo pair of low level (RCA) inputs allows connection to the variable output of many pre-amps.
• A single LFE (RCA) input is the perfect connection to modern receivers and processors. The x-subs' internal crossover is defeated with this connection allowing you to use the bass management in your receiver or processor.

orThe x-sub is finished in a gorgeous White Shadow Maple and ultra-smooth Satin Black. AV123 exclusively uses real wood veneer or high quality paints on all of their subwoofers.

The subwoofers use 1" (25mm) MDF in the construction of the cabinets.
