Mordaunt-Short Performance Model 6 PR
Marantz America, the exclusive U.S. distributor of Britain's renowned Mordaunt-Short loudspeakers, announced the introduction of Mordaunt-Short's Performance loudspeaker series. The line-up takes its name from one of the company's most acclaimed designs, and continues a thirty five-year tradition of innovation, ground-breaking engineering and leading-edge music reproduction. The Performance Model 6 will be available in November of 2004 and on display at Marantz's CEDIA booth #436.
Three Year R&D Program Pays Off With Performance
Mordaunt-Short Performance loudspeakers are the result of a comprehensive three-year research and development program resulting in major technological advancements. These include proprietary polymer resin cabinet construction, which makes possible radical sculpting and brings huge sonic benefits, as well as revolutionary Aspirated Tweeter Technology (ATT).
Performance speakers employ Mordaunt-Short's latest generation CPC (Continuous Profile Cone) driver technology, mounted on unique, critically profiled SDS (Sound Deadening Steel) chassis, with silver-plated wiring throughout. Mordaunt Short made no compromises or short-cuts in creating the Performance series.
When complete, the five-speaker series are finished in either silver or anthracite versions, comprising a three-way floorstanding model, a two-and-a-half-way floorstanding model, dedicated solutions for rear and center-channel applications, as well as a high power subwoofer with digital amplification.
Performance has been developed to deliver the ultimate experience, whether in stereo or the latest multi-channel formats.
The Performance product range will be available beginning with the Model 6 in November 2004 at an expected retail price of $6,000/pair (three-way floorstanding model).
