Kimber Kable 8TC Speaker Cable Review [0.23] by Gene,June 03, 2013 12:45
The Kimber 8TC speaker cables, although rather pricey, probably offers some of the highest quality to value ratio I’ve seen in exotic cables. They measure considerably superior to standard 10AWG zip cord and they look a whole lot better too. I've been using Kimber speaker cables on my reference systems for a number of years now and can attest to fact these are well constructed cables and look, measure and sound great. Pride of ownership is off the charts with the Kimber 8TC cables. For those looking for a true reference cable that will do NO harm to the signal, the Kimber 8TC is your cable.

Boston Acoustics SoundWare Indoor/Outdoor Speaker Review [0.23] by jclarke,February 10, 2008 11:10
The SoundWare speaker from Boston Acoustics is a very interesting product, considering that whole-house audio has become all the rage. Whether it's in the kitchen or out on the back porch, we all want our music to follow us throughout the day. But as Audioholics, it's not as simple as having a boom box or clock radio wherever we want music - we want a nice set of speakers. Boston Acoustics has introduced a new line of affordable speakers aimed squarely at those of us who want great sound both indoors and out.
MB Quart Alexxa B-One Bookshelf Speaker Review [0.23] by jclarke,May 01, 2008 12:25
Could the MB Quart Alexxa B-One speakers be manufactured in Hades? I ask this because, as I am sure you know, the devil is in the details and detail is what these speakers are all about. They present a very detailed reproduction of music, and fit and finish is top notch. But fear not, I will not be forced to consider damnation after all, as the Alexxas are not the handiwork of Beelzebub, but rather that of a storied team of engineers in Germany.
Analog (Vinyl) vs Digital Audio (CD, FLAC) Sound Quality Comparison [0.23] by Gene,October 03, 2013 09:00
By every measure, digital audio is superior to analog. However, if I've learned anything over the years of running this website is there is often quite a difference between theory and reality. we assembled a listening panel to compare analog Vinyl records to their digital CD and FLAC counterparts. It's truly sad how much abuse has been done in the digital era of music. Here we are with virtually limitless dynamic range for digital media, but recordings are being squashed down to oblivion often making their technically inferior analog counterparts sonically superior. I think you will find the results are quite surprising and if you're an audiophile searching for the best sound quality, then this is a must read! Also check out our recently added Youtube Debate.

Home Theater Wiring - Why It Matters [0.23] by clint,October 10, 2008 01:00
Joe Cornwall of Impact Acoustics and Cables to Go discusses why cables do indeed matter when considering your wiring needs for a whole house audio installation or home theater. When generating a cable list for your home theater it's important to consider not only what your devices are, but length, signal type and intended use - both now and future. Failure to consider all options can result in a misconfiguration and lots of work down the road.
Denon AH-NC 732 Headphones Review [0.23] by jclarke,October 03, 2008 12:57
The Denon AH-NC732 noise canceling headphones join a crowded category of products that frequent flyers are finding they cannot live without. It seems that only a few years ago your only choice for active noise canceling headphones was from the four-letter marketing machine, and you were paying top dollar for a mediocre product and lots of advertising. Denon took it's time entering the fray, but they have delivered some strong competition with the introduction of the AH-NC732 headphones.

Fatman iTube Red-i Integrated Amp w/Speakers & iPod Dock Review [0.22] by jclarke,January 15, 2009 16:45
The iTube Red-i from Fatman is easily the coolest docking system for iPods that I have had the pleasure of enjoying on my desk. So much more than a dock and speakers for your iPod, this system can easily be the heart of your small two channel listening setup in your home, office or apartment. If you are considering docking speaker systems for your iPod and plan to spend around $500, this is a no-brainer. For the true Audioholic, this system blows the others away. Maybe you are considering a small Bose or other "big-name" all in one speaker dock product for your den or office. I suggest you rethink your purchase.
