ZOTAC ZBOX Media PC with Blu-ray
[0.20]
by wayde,September 14, 2010 15:00
- Most HTPCs have the esthetic appeal of a Soviet-era sewing machine. With their painfully slow load times, boxy looks and noisy fans, HTPC is generally about as unobtrusive to your media system as a serious migraine. Zotac feels your pain. This computer hardware company has set up shop inside that wide gap between Home Theater PC and tasteful form factor.

Diablo 3 Subtle Ambience for Your HTPC
[0.19]
by wayde,May 16, 2012 06:10
- Diablo 3 may be the most anticipated game of the decade, arriving 12 years after its predecessor - now it's finally here! The PC-only video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment continued its point-and-click, hack and slash fest last night at 12:01 AM PST. Die-hard fans either attended late night sale events or were downloading and installing the game at the stroke of midnight. Unfortunately for those of us on easterly time zones we had to wait considerably longer than midnight to actually play. Blizzard’s Battle.net servers hosting the online-only game were delivering an alarming Error 33, warning users that the game is not available yet. Considering Diablo 3 was first announced back in 2008 with no release date in site, a few more hours can’t hurt.

[0.19]
by clint,May 25, 2004 20:00
- It had been a while since Audioholics did a speaker shootout, so we thought it was high time we gather up the clan and head off to the home theater room for some good old-fashioned listening tests. On the menu were some great contenders from the likes of RBH Sound, Aperion Audio, Mordaunt-Short and Velodyne. Since there are so many factors involved in creating an effective small bookshelf or satellite speaker system, we buckled up for the methodical task of listening to, and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of, each system.

Drive-Up Movie Theater

by stanton,October 26, 2006 20:00
- I have always wanted to combine my love of movies with a neighborhood "get together", so when I first heard about the idea for a home-made outdoor movie theater (using the space within your garage), the proverbial light bulb went off in my head.

[0.18]
by cliff,December 26, 2012 08:10
- If you use a computer as the main source in your home theater or stereo system, then listen up. Dirac has released a new room correction system called “Dirac Live” and it’s aimed at everyone seeking the best performance possible out of a computer. By actively monitoring and correcting audio it accounts for time domain and frequency response issues. But, with a cost of $849 plus a microphone we think it is going to be a niche product.
