Spotify for Android Preview
Spotify has been out for Android, but this week a preview shows that the app is getting a complete overhaul. The new version of the app includes full support for Android 4.0, a new top-to-bottom redesign and an all-new slide-out navigation. You can also now check out your friends' profile pages and playlists on the go. The new app features artist imagery that is now in high resolution and a new related artist view. The app should also be a little faster to navigate and find music.
Here’s a summary of features:
- Totally new app with full support for Android 4.0
- Top-to-bottom redesign
- All-new slide-out navigation
- Even more social - check out friends’ profile pages and playlists on the go
- Artist imagery in high resolution
- Related artist view - available for the first time on mobile
The Spotify team is also apparently working to bring even more features to the app, like folders and Last FM scrobbling, before it goes live in Google Play. If you want to get your hands on the all-new Android preview, set your phone to allow installation from "Unknown Sources" at the Settings > Applications > Unknown sources menu. Once that's set you can click on the button below on your phone to get the update.
