Integra Debuts DTR-7.8 THX Ultra2 AV Receiver With HDMI 1.3
UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ (7/19/07) -- Integra, the leading manufacturer of home theater components designed specifically for the custom installer, has introduced the remarkably powerful and flexible DTR-7.8 THX Ultra2 Certified A/V receiver. The 7.1-channel home theater receiver features HDMI v.1.3a compatible switching, onboard decoding for the latest lossless and HD audio formats, and an extensive suite of multizone/multisource and system integration control features.
Featuring three HDMI inputs and one output, the DTR-7.8 is the ideal cornerstone for a complete high-end home theater installation. It is fully compatible with HDMI v. 1.3a, including 1080p and Deep Color™ 36-bit video signals. It also features onboard decoding for the Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio lossless audio formats specified for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray disc formats. It includes superior quality Burr Brown audio DAC's for all channels, and a trio of 32-bit DSPs for all processing.
The Integra DTR-7.8 includes a comprehensive package of features specifically tailored to the needs of custom installers, including an Ethernet port for integration with Network-based control systems such as E-Control™ and AMX Device Discovery™. It also includes bi-directional RS-232, RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) system control integration over HDMI, three programmable 12-volt triggers, dual IR inputs, and three unique assignable IR code sets. Because the receiver will frequently be set up by professional installers, customized dealer settings can be independently stored for easy recall.
The DTR-7.8 boasts a broad array of multizone features, including fixed and variable 2.1-channel line-outs for two additional zones. The Zone 2 output also includes both composite and HD-quality component video outputs, as well as independent tone and balance controls. With Integra's Powered Zone 2 capability, the receiver's rear surround amplifier channels can also be reconfigured to provide power for a stereo pair in a second zone while the main room still delivers full 5.1-channel surround sound.
For legacy analog A/V source equipment, the DTR-7.8 features automatic transcoding of all video inputs to both HDMI and component video to simplify connectivity and control of modern video displays. Additionally, the receiver also includes onboard Faroudja DCDi deinterlacing circuitry for high-quality conversion of all interlaced source material to 480p progressive scan output.
For simplified setup, the DTR-7.8 includes Audyssey's acclaimed MultiEQ XT room acoustics correction, the most powerful built-in solution available for countering room distortion in dedicated home theaters. This technology uses an included microphone to detect and configure speakers in the room, and then adjusts each channel's level, delay, and crossover settings to best suit the room's acoustics. By incorporating measurements at up to eight points in the listening room, Audyssey Multi-EQ provides both frequency response and time domain corrections throughout the entire listening area, rather than just at a single position.
Integra's DTR-7.8 also features compatibility with both XM and Sirius satellite radio programming. The addition of an optional antenna system for either network enables consumers to subscribe to and receive hundreds of channels of commercial-free music, news, talk, and entertainment programming. The receiver also includes onboard Neural THX processing for reception of multichannel XM HD surround programming. Finally, there is also a high quality terrestrial radio tuner, and the receiver features 40 presets for AM, FM, XM, or Sirius stations.
The Integra DTR-7.8 features independent block construction for the preamplifier and amplifier sections for improved low-noise performance. Each of the seven amplifier modules rated at 130 Watts per channel into 8 ohms (20Hz - 20 kHz, 0.05% THD) and incorporates a newly developed push-pull amplifier configuration and discrete power output devices. Integra's exclusive WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology) and a high current power supply capable of delivering 60 amps of instantaneous current for transient response round out the fundamental performance of the receiver, which is capable of dynamic and linear response from 5 Hz all the way to 100 kHz. Finally, the receiver's rear surround amplifier channels can be reconfigured to reproduce the front L/R channel signals, allowing for biamplification of speakers capable of this function.
The Integra DTR-7.8 is now available from Integra dealers with a suggested
retail price of $1,300.
