BTX Upgrades Pro Plate and Panel Designer Software

BTX Technologies, a distributor and manufacturer of interface and integration products, today announced a major update to its free Pro Plate and Panel Designer software. To make it easier than ever for customers to configure, specify, and order the company's professional line of custom wall plates and panels, the software solution has been bolstered with a convenient new quoting feature, powerful alignment and connector distribution tools, and more than 100 new connector symbols in its drag-and-drop library.

With our new quoting feature, a plate or panel is designed, a part number is created, and a price is quoted — all without an order being placed. For cleaner and more professional plate designs, the software also features new, easy-to-use alignment and rectangle tools, as well as a new connector "Distribution" tool that allows users to evenly space connectors across a panel by specifying where the first and last connector should be positioned. The software does all the work. Furthermore, the addition of 100 new connector symbols located in the drag-and-drop library makes it easier to design the custom wall plates and panels.

Connector options appear in an easy-to-navigate menu and users simply drag and drop their choices to the desired spot on the plate or panel. Optional engraving may also be added if desired. Once an item number and quote have been generated, users may conveniently place an order right from the software.
