Sharp Aquos LC-65D90U 65-inch LCD TV
Sharp took some time at their booth to announce the U.S. availability of the world's largest available LCD-TV, the LC-65D90U AQUOS, for this fall. The new 65-inch is their flagship 1080p LCD television in the AQUOS line which includes screen sizes ranging from 13- to 65-inches.
Last year Sharp delivered the first 45-inch 1080p LC HDTV before any of their competitors and seem to have raised the bar once again with the 65-inch LC HDTV.
Sharp's LC-65D90U AQUOS LCD TV offers the followng features:
- 65-inch screen size with HDTV/CableCARD compatibility
- Next-generation 16:9 LCD panel from Sharp's 6th-generation Kameyama factory
- Built-in HDTV tuner with CableCARD slot enabling easy connection to high-definition cable TV channels without the need for a separate set-top box
- Full 1080p capability (1920x1080 resolution) compatible with terrestrial, cable, and satellite HDTV broadcasts
- Four wavelength backlight system providing enhanced color reproduction with deeper, more vivid reds
- An 800:1 contrast ratio
- TV Guide On Screen electronic programming guide
- Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) panel with Black TFT low-reflection coating to reduce glare
- Sharp's Quick Shoot video technology for optomizing response time (less than 12 milliseconds) on fast moving images
- Sharp's next-generation CV-IC System III advanced video processor upconverts all incoming signals to 1080p for display
- 170-degree viewing angles
- 450 cd/m2 brightness
- Virtual Dolby Surround Sound audio system
- HDMI, DVI-I, and two HD component video inputs
- Detachable speakers and table stand for flexible placement (optional wall mounting brackets)
- Channel list and informational buttons on remote control to quickly display on screen digital program info
- 60,000-hour lamp life provides years of viewing pleasure
Sporting an elegant, high-end titanium finish, the unit has a detachable stand and bottom speakers that enable a variety of installation options.
The LC-65D90U will be available in November for a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $20,999.
