HSU VTF-3HO Subwoofer

A short cab ride from the convention center and we arrived at Alexis Park resort. This location is where many of the high end manufactures demonstrate various audio/video components. HSU subwoofers, well known for high performance to dollar ratio, exhibited their new VTF-3HO proto type subwoofer. The new woofer features a patent pending port technology call the turbocharger, 500-watt high headroom amplifier, 12-inch long throw woofer, dual 4-inch ports with large flares tuned to 18Hz, 24dB/octave and 30-90Hz bypass-able crossover.

HSU demonstrated two of these placed in the corners of the room playing 2-channel classical music that had content well below 20Hz. The two big subwoofers sounded spectacular as they shook the entire suite with ultra low subsonic sound. We were able to hear the subwoofers shaking the room all the way out on the sidewalk! The large subwoofers appear to have excellent build quality.
